After a successful first year, the 292 Performance Workshop is back for 2024!
This day is designed specifically for Strength and Conditioning coaches, PTs and Physiotherapists looking to enhance their coaching effectiveness and athlete programming. This workshop offers a blend of theory and hands-on learning.

The Red Bull HQ doors in London will open at 8.15 am with freshly served barista coffee and pastries. The learning day will finish around 5.00 pm with connecting drinks until 6.00 pm.

Full Day Schedule
Section 1: Accelerating Excellence with James King (60 mins)
Performance Psychologist James King will present a proven methodology developed from his work with elite military personnel, top business executives, and high-level athletes. This session will focus on psychological principles and models that have effectively shifted mindsets and enhanced performance.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the psychological models that drive high performance.
- Gain insights into mindset shifts that increase intensity and consistency in training
- Explore real-world examples of application with 292 Performance athletes from the 292 Performance Offseason Camp in Ibiza with 25 professional male and female footballers
Section 2: Insights from the Athlete’s Perspective (60 mins)
In a panel discussion featuring James King, a professional female athlete, and Dr Andrea Furst, this session will explore critical psychological principles that strength and conditioning coaches should consider. The focus will be on understanding athletes’ perspectives, fears, and data interests.

- Learn effective communication strategies to maximise athlete performance.
- Identify key psychological factors that influence athlete-coach interactions.
- Engage in interactive discussions to refine coaching approaches based on athlete feedback.
Section 3: Launch of the 292 Profiling and Programming Project (60 mins)
Tom Tombleson will introduce the 292 Profiling and Programming Project, highlighting a systematic approach to athlete profiling through biomechanical and physical data. This session will provide insights into exercise selection and program development.

- Discover methodologies for identifying athlete goals through profiling.
- Understand the principles of effective program writing and exercise selection.
- Contribute feedback to refine the profiling process and enhance community practices.
Section 4: Case Studies in Athletic Development (60 mins)
This session, led by the 292 Performance coaching team, will present case studies from athletes they have worked with throughout the year. It aims to spark discussions on different approaches to athletic performance and training strategies.

- Analyse real-life examples of training interventions and outcomes.
- Share and challenge personal coaching methodologies with peers.
- Foster collaborative learning to enhance athletic performance strategies.
Section 5: Practical Application: Getting Practical With Equipment (60 mins)
This interactive segment will provide participants with concrete examples of exercises derived from data collected during previous sessions. The focus will be on practical applications for effective training and exercise selection.

- Engage in hands-on demonstrations of effective exercises.
- Learn how to apply data-driven insights to exercise programming.
- Enjoy a collaborative and energetic environment while refining training techniques.
The learning day will finish around 5.00 pm with socialising drinks with other coaches until 6.00 pm at Red Bull.
